La Borde en Sologne - château & spa, is above all a building registered as a historical monument. Built in the middle of the 17th century, in the village of Vernou-en-Sologne, a 20-minute drive from Blois, Chambord and Cheverny, it is full of rooms with moldings, sculptures, frescoes, woodwork and fireplaces. A long gallery also recalls the charm of the winter gardens of yesterday. As for the oeil-de-boeuf or other windows perched under the roofs, they offer a beautiful perspective on the countryside and the surrounding woods. In addition, there is a landscaped park, where English and French gardens meet, as well as a 500-meter-long lake with a pier, a bucolic starting point for a fishing trip or a boat ride.
