The owner is a farmer and breeds pretty Ouessant sheep, which the children can observe behind the house, as well as donkeys, chickens, etc. Your gîte is located in Cour Cheverny, so don't miss a visit to Château de Cheverny (inhabited by the same family for over 6 centuries!) with its gardens and 3D Tintin exhibition. For golfers, the Cheverny golf course is 6 km away. For anglers, there are numerous fishing spots in the vicinity (ponds at Contres). Less than 30 kms away, you can visit the castles of Blois and Chambord, or the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire and its superb garden festival. The famous Beauval Zooparc is only half an hour away.
